 Olive Producers (NE Vic) Inc  Olive Producers of North East Victoria, (OPNEV) takes great pleasure in inviting you and your olive business to participate in the 9th Australian Golden Olive Awards. Drought has affected and continues to affect so many regions and so many agricultural activities and products across Australia. Olive producers, like all others engaged in agricultural pursuits are extremely resilient and the feedback coming in from the 2008 harvest is extremely encouraging. OPNEV, whilst being a regional association, is keen to promote olive products Australia-wide for the mutual benefit of all industry stakeholders, whether they be large companies or the smaller family business. We believe it is important to encourage the continuing development of olive products across our continent and to provide a vehicle whereby the best in our industry are given due acknowledgement and public profile. The Australian Golden Olive Awards offers you the opportunity to benchmark your products against other producers. It also provides Free Fatty Acid and Peroxide test on your oil from a fully accredited laboratory, with results provided to you. How do you become involved ? Below is a link to an Invitation to Participate. Simply fill it out with the details of your intended entry and we will send bottles and/or jars according to the number and type of entries you intend to submit, together with the actual Awards Application Form. Attached to this Invitation to Participate are the participation details, i.e. the various classes, fees, conditions of entry and how to communicate with us. Please read this information carefully. The 9th Australian Golden Olives Awards culminates in the Celebration Dinner, to be held in Rutherglen, NE Victoria on Saturday 6th September, 2008. This is a fun night and features the finest food and wine of NE Victoria. There will be entertainment and the presentation of awards and trophies.
